Cooperation in the Customs Field between Albania and Georgia

Representatives of the Albanian Customs Administration conducted a working visit to the Revenue Service of the Ministry of Finance of Georgia, within the framework of strengthening interinstitutional cooperation and exchanging experiences in the customs field.

During the meeting, the parties discussed current challenges in customs administration, as well as opportunities for further deepening cooperation between the two countries, focusing on the modernization of procedures, trade facilitation, and increasing operational efficiency.

As part of the visit, the delegation was introduced firsthand to the practices followed in Georgia for the processing and control of goods, through visits to the SGP “Lower Automobile” point and the “Tbilisi” Economic Zone. During these visits, the loading and unloading process of goods in the field was presented, organized according to the “One Mirror” principle, a model aimed at accelerating procedures and increasing transparency in the logistics chain.

This visit serves as an important step in strengthening bilateral relations and promoting best practices in customs administration.
