4 new scanners at Rinas Airport and at the Kapshtica, Kakavija and Saranda Customs Points (Published on 08/04/2025)

Four new scanners for fast and efficient screening of passenger baggage have been installed at Rinas International Airport, as well as at the Border Crossings of Kapshtica, Kakavija and Saranda.

The installation of these X-ray devices will increase the quality of passenger baggage screening and significantly shorten the screening time, while maintaining the right balance between Customs controls and facilitating legitimate trade at each Customs crossing.

The X-ray scanners will help to meet the national security obligations at the border, both to guarantee the legal movement of passengers and goods at these Border Crossings, in less time and with better quality, and in the context of strengthening the fight against illegal trafficking.
