Forums with the Business on the New Customs Code and its Implementing Provisions in cooperation with the American Chamber of Commerce

The General Directorate of Customs in cooperation with the American Chamber of Commerce organized in May three Forums with the Business Community on the new Customs Code and its Implementing Provisions.

 

Such activities were organized in Tirana, Shkodra and Korca intending the information of the business community on the novelties of the new Customs Code by presenting all the necessary information from the customs experts.

 

The changes introduced are part of the third phase of the amendments that the Customs Code have undergone and those shall enter into force on 1st of June 2017. Speaking to the members of the American Chamber, the Deputy General Director of Customs, Mrs. Mirela Meko, underlined the importance of the information on time about all the procedures and provisions that have changed to facilitate the daily activity of the business. She also emphasized that facilitating the dialogue with business is a priority of the Customs Administration and responded to the questions that the members and/or business representatives asked about certain issues.
