Announcement on the study visit of the students of the Faculty of Economics of University "Our Lady of Good Counsel"

On 07.07.2017 in the premises of the General Directorate of Customs and Tirana Customs House was held a "Study Visit" activity with the participation of the students of the Faculty of Economics, University of “Our Lady of the Good Counsel".

The activity was conducted by the specialists of the Department of Excise, Finance Directorate and Specialists of the Tirana Customs House.

In response to the interest of the students and the curriculum, the following topics were addressed in this activity:

• The Mission of Customs Administration;
• Collection of customs revenues, basic concepts of customs duties, VAT on imports and their calculation;
• Basic concepts on customs valuation and the valuation methodology;
• Basic concepts on Law on Excise, the category of goods paying excise duties in the Republic of Albania, excise calculation for each category;
• Open discussions on the interest of the students;
• Practical demonstration of customs clearance procedures at the terminal of the Tirana Customs House.
