For new employees, the Customs Administration in cooperation with the QTATD (Tax and Customs Administration Training Center) and ASPA (Albanian School of Public Administration) conducts mandatory trainings in order to gain basic knowledge on Customs Administration, Civil Service, Code of Ethics, challenges of European Integration of Albania, Organization and Functioning of Governmental Administration, etc.
For existing employees in order to improve their professional skills, there are ongoing continuous training to update their knowledge about changes in Customs Legislation and beyond.
The continuous training is essential for individual performance, personal and professional development, as well as for the success of the Customs Administration.
Learning and work are integrated into the activity of each employee, who have the opportunity to increase their performance through training programs being developed internally and internationally. Training programs tailored to needs include topics from different areas of customs administration, as well as taxation, professional training of personnel following legislative changes / procedures, etc., as well as best practices in business service, Which is intended to cover all areas of activity of the Customs Administration regarding customs procedures and duties, customs debt, customs value, excise products, Free Trade Agreements that Albania implements, etc.

In the course of the training it is used a wide range of expertise of our employees with deep knowledge and experience in the customs field. Trainings are held at the General Directorate of Customs and Customs Offices too.
Over the years, the Customs Administration has established and continues to establish productive relationships with domestic institutions such as: Ministry of Environment, Energy, Innovation, Defense, Interior, etc. and international ones such as the World Customs Organization, TAIEX, Twinning Project IPA 2012, EXBS (Export Control and Border Security Program at the US Embassy), etc.
