Granting of a Registered Consignee Authorization

In order to be equipped with an Authorization as a Registered Consignee the applicant shall meet the following conditions:

  • To be registered in the Republic of Albania and to present the extract from the National Registration Center (NRC);
  • To submit a guarantee necessary to cover the movement of excise goods with duty suspension only if the applicant will ask ensure the movement;
  • To provide criminal record certificate of the representative of the company/administrator;
  • To provide evidence that there are no unpaid duties to the Customs Administration;
  • To present a description of the excise products that will handle;
  • To provide data on the maximum holding capacity of the premises/storage.

Obligations of the registered consignee

The registered consignee cannot produce, hold or dispatch goods under a duty suspension arrangement.

The registered consignee shall fulfill the following requirements:

  • keeps records on the excise products it deals with;
  • allows any control that enables the customs authorities to ensure that the goods have actually arrived.
