Travelers coming from another country into the Republic of Albania are exempted from import duties for the goods contained in their personal luggage.
Goods are exempted if, by their type and quantity, they are not intended for commercial use. The goods, intended for personal use or presents, benefit from the relief from Customs duties too.
The value of the goods that benefit from the exemption (excluding tobacco and alcohol products) is the equivalent in ALL as follows:
Travelers by Road:
• 300 EUR for each traveler.
Travelers by air or by sea:
• 430 EUR for each traveler.
For travelers under age of 15:
• 150 EUR.
When entering or leaving the Republic of Albania, the passengers must declare the goods if they are of a value higher than the above mentioned limit and if they are intended for commercial purposes.
The Customs authorities may require the traveler to show all the goods that he carries.
Attention!
For goods of a non-commercial nature in the luggage of travelers exceeding the untaxable limit shall be made the Customs declaration through the simplified procedure.
