Reconstruction Projects

IPA 2012: “Reconstruction of Morina BCP (Kukes)”. Total costs: 1 Million EUR. Duration 1,5 years

 The first phase of works in Morina BCP under IPA 2009 is conducted by constructing a wider area for the parking of heavy tonnage vehicles.

 Currently through IPA 2012 Project will be completed the works for construction of a Joint Border Crossing Point with KOSOVO according to a detailed design meeting the EU standards. 

The Contract was signed in December 2015 and 21st of March 2016 was fixed as the date of rolling out the project.
 In April 2016 in Morina, it started the works and it was discussed with the parties on the coordination between the benefiters and the supervisor for the continuation of the works along the phases in order to avoid the flow during the touristic season.

IPA 2012: “Reconstruction of Hani i Hotit BCP (Shkodra)”. Total costs: 1.8 Million EUR. Duration 1,5 years

Hani i Hotit (Shkodra): In order that border controls to be in compliance with EU best practices, Albanian Customs Administration through IPA 2012 Project provided funds for the reconstruction of Hani i Hotit BCP to ensure more efficient and effective controls in one of the most important BCPs for the traffic and movement of passengers and goods.

Through complete reconstruction of this BCP, it is intended to be contributed in increasing the efficiency and performance of Customs and Border Police.

On 1st of December 2015 began the works and it is foreseen to be completed within June 2017.

The leading role for the implementation of in this Project will be played by the Border and Migration Police in the State Police in cooperation with the General Directorate of Customs.
