The Albanian Customs Administration is in constant effort to successfully fulfill its missions, such as fiscal, trade facilitation, security and safety and the commitments undertaken by the Albanian Government in the processes of Albania's integration into the European Union.

In order to adapt to the interest of the fulfillment of the administrative activity, the realization of the institutional mission and in order to increase the efficiency of its work, to respond to the new challenges, it is adopted the new organizational structure of the Albanian Customs Administration with the DCM No 9, dated 11.01.2017.

The General Directorate of Customs consists of 1,052 employees at both levels, at central and local ones.

The General Directorate of Customs consists of 400 employees and is organized as follows:

• Office of the General Director;
• Administrativ Departament;
• Technic Departament;
• Law Enforcement Departament;
• Excise Departament.
