Narcotics and Psychotropic Substances

• It is prohibited the import, export, transit of narcotics and psychotropic substances and it constitutes a criminal offense and is punishable under the Criminal Law into force in reference to the obligations set out in Law No 8874, dated 29.03.2002 "On the control of substances that can be used for illicit manufacturing of Narcotics and Psychotropic Substances".
• It is prohibited the import, export, transit of plants, narcotic medicaments and psychotropic substances of natural or synthetic nature, their materials and their preparations in the territory of the Republic of Albania for the purposes of the obligations set out in the Law No 7975, dated 26.07.1995 “On the narcotic medicines and psychotropic substances” , as ammended.

Human Trafficking

It is prohibited the Human Trafficking and Smuggling of Persons which means the transportation, transfer, taking of persons by threat, use of force or other forms of extortion, kidnapping and cheating for exploitation purposes.
